Alison is the daughter of Kristina and Matthew Ashmore. She is 17 year old. She is active in R.E.A.C.H., Student Ministry Team, Sunday school, is a CNA and a kitchen aide. Her hobbies include painting, reading, drawing and spending time with family. She plans on continuing her college education, starting with her RN degree and then on to Nurse Anesthetist. Her sponsor is Security State Bank.

Alison Ashmore
Isabelle Persson
Isabelle is the 17 year old daughter of Dave and Denise Persson. She is employed at the Hibbing Public Library and enjoys spending her free time with her family and her dogs. She also enjoys watching Star Wars and Marvel movies.
In the past, she has participated in hockey, track and was the starting sweeper in soccer from 8th – 11th Grade, but due to her autonomic disease, she had to quit them. Her main goal in life is to become completely healthy and live a normal life again. Other goals include: going to college, become a sign language interpreter and eventually live on a big farm with lots of animals.
“I am so excited to have the opportunity to be a part of Winter Frolic. I can’t wait to make memories with all the other candidates!” Her sponsor is the Elks Club.
Rachel Moberg
Rachel is 17 years old and the daughter of Kurtis Moberg and Casey Gargano. She is a member of and has been an active, voting member for two years of the HHS Student Council. She is very passionate about art and has been drawing her whole life. She has just recently picked up painting. She also enjoys hunting, skiing, crocheting and hanging out with friends. She is not currently involved in any sports associated with HHS. I was in the Color Guard for two years, one of which she was the Rifles’ Captain.
She has been in the Honors program since 7th grade, being enrolled in all of the honors mathematics courses and has taken as many CITS classes as she could. After she graduates from high school, she plans to work towards getting her AA degree at HCC. The then plans to take HCC’s nursing program to become a registered nurse. She hopes to marry and have a big, happy, healthy family. Her sponsor is Sullivan’s Supply.
Madison Perfetti
Madison is the 18 year old daughter of Kelly Perfetti and Tracy Davey. She is a PSEO and Upward Bound student through Hibbing High School. She attends Abundant Life Church and is a former Student Leader in her church Youth Group and in Amplify Bible Study. She also takes part in a mentorship with Mrs. Bymark.
Her hobbies include cooking, baking, spending time with family and friends while having fun and experiencing new things. She is a former Little Miss Irongate.
Some of her goals in life are getting my AA through Hibbing Community College, then attending the University of Wisconsin – Stout to het her teaching degree in FACS/Home Ec. Her sponsor is Red Rock Insurance.
Riley Svaleson
Riley is the daughter of Lacy and Chad Svaleson. She is 18 years old, participates in cheerleading since the 10th Grade and currently involved in the Open Door Church in Hibbing. She loves drawing, longboarding, boating and playing with animals.
She has participated in dance for 7 years and is now a winter cheerleader. Her junior year, she took Honors (CITS) Chemistry and received credit for it through Hibbing Community College. Her life goals are to get an education at UMD and the University of Minnesota and become a medical examiner. She wants to live and work in Duluth, get married, buy a big house and have 3 dogs.
“Being a young woman is a very powerful thing. There are so many opportunities for us and so many different paths we can take!” Her sponsor is Sammy’s Pizza.
Hannah Holm
Hannah is the daughter of Stacy and Eric Holm. She is 17 years old and involved in the HHS Concert Choir, volunteers at Range Regional Animal Rescue Shelter, has a part-time job at Fairview hospital. She plans on joining Our Saviors Lutheran Church band.
Her hobbies include any outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, trapping and hiking. She is also an avid reader – her nose is constantly in a book. She has played volleyball for 4 or 5 years. She is a member of the college Honors Society through Phi Theta Kapa.
Her goals in life are to become successful in life as a Nurse Anesthetist and also have a major in English and Literature. She would like to eventually get married, have a couple of kids and, as they say “Live Happily Ever After!”
“I am an accomplished Hibbing High School student and full time PSEO student. I am determined, hardworking person. I am also empathetic and caring towards others.” Her sponsor is RC Fabricators.
Tori is the daughter of Heather and BJ Berg. She is 18 years old and is a full-time PSEO student at HCC. She was confirmed into the Catholic Church last spring. She also volunteered at her Dad’s school’s 2nd Grade gym classes last year. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and also likes to go hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.
She is currently in soccer and softball. She has been named Captain in both soccer and softball for two consecutive years.
Her goals in life are planning to go to UND next year to take classes towards their PT program. After college, she would love to move back to Minnesota and start a family of her own.

Sara is 17 years old and the daughter of Greg and Donna Hoag. She is active in Student Council (Senior Class Secretary), Church Council (youth representative), National Honors Society (Secretary) and choir. She enjoys hunting, fishing, reading and being at the lake – especially skiing. She has participated as a Captain in tennis, dance and archery.
Sara is an AAUW future Collegian, has been on the 4.0 honor roll for most of high school and received an Academic All-State Award (for tennis).
She plans on attending North Dakota State University, Ohio State University or University of Michigan, receive either my Doctor of Pharmacy or Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences and move back to Minnesota to settle down with a beautiful family. Her sponsor is Hibbing Park Hotel.

Tori Berg

Cierra is the 17 years old and the daughter of Jim and Jamie Morris. Her activities include girls’ basketball cheerleader, Venture Scouts and Under the Cross Student Ministry. She loves going to the racetrack, having bonfires with friends and family, going on drives with her friends, going on hikes, canoeing and mostly all outdoor activities.
Her goals in life are to become a surgical assistant and work at a children’s hospital. Her sponsor is American Bank.
Cierra Morris

Emily is the daughter of Pamela Raini and Chet Fishel. She is 18 years old and active in Cheerleading, R.E.A.C.H. (youth group) and Student Ministry Team. She enjoys reading, hanging out with family and friends, camping, shopping and singing. She plans on going to college and find a good career, adopt a baby (when she’s older), pass physics, and become a youth leader. Her sponsor is Super One Foods.
Emily Fishel

Shelby Bierwalter
Sheby is 18 years old and is the daughter of Kim and Wayne Bierwalter. She walks at Range Regional Animal Rescue and Fastenal. She enjoys photography, painting (any kind of art), reading, spending time with family and friends, going on adventures to no place in particular. She has been honored in PSEO, Phi Theta Kappa Honors Sciety. Her goal is to major in photography and general art, start a business on photography and make a living with that. Her sponsor is the Lion’s Club.
